Location : In northern Arizona high country, conveniently located 1.5 to 2 hrs north of metropolitan Phoenix via Interstate 17 and State Highway 69.

Climate : At an ideal 5200 feet, Prescott enjoys four mild seasons, with summer highs typically in the mid 80's, and winter highs in the mid 50's.

Education:
Prescottonians are justifiably proud of the range of their community's educational opportunities, from an outstanding public school system to diverse college choices including Prescott College, a private liberal arts college, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Yavapai Community College, and in nearby Flagstaff, Northern Arizona University.

Medical Care:
Prescott is home to Yavapai Regional Medical Center, a full service not-for-profit facility with over 100 staff physicians, 125 beds, a trauma center, and a hospital based helicopter. The hospital offers a cardiac catheterization lab and full surgical services (including heart surgery), a 24-hour emergency room, two intensive care units and the latest laboratories and imaging services. In 2004, Yavapai Regional Medical Center was recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of America's "100 Best Companies to Work For."

Shopping:
Prescott is a small town with excellent shopping. In addition to the dozens of quaint antique shops and art galleries around the Courthouse Square, Prescott also has a new 500,000 s.f. regional mall with a Dillards Department Store, Barnes & Noble, and literally dozens of other merchants.

Prescott Municipal Airport is a large and active facility with three concrete runways (primary runway of 7,600 feet). Daily commercial service to and from Phoenix is available via America West Airlines.
